Candy Donovan: Miss Ireland Body Building Fitness

Apparently this woman won the Miss Ireland Body Building Fitness title. Unfortunately the internet doesn’t seem to know about that competition, so we’ll just have to take youtube’s word for it.

I recall this woman on the Late Late a few years ago. It was odd, she was introduced along with a male bodybuilder, and they posed and flexed and things for a couple of minutes, while the befuddled audience tried to maintain their subdued, forced clapping. I think it’s one of the hardest sports (is it a sport?) to understand if you’re not into it. I saw a BBC documentary on it… working so hard for months to get your body fat level down so that your skin looks like it’s strung across your muscles…and then piling back on the weight after the competition, only to do it all again for the next one. It’s one hell of a lifestyle, thats for sure.

This Miss Ireland Bodybuilding competition should get together with Miss Ireland and Alternative Miss Ireland and just have a big massive brawl to find out who the actual queen of all the misseseses is.
