Garda Physical Competence Test

The balance beam is 100 millimeters in width, corresponding to the width of garden walls, which Gardai may have to negotiate during pursuits or searches.

I feel so much safer now knowing that the Gardai get specifically tested on how to remove a car wheel from a boot. I can see it now:

Fireman: What’s the problem here?
Garda: I need to move this wheel more than 3 meters, but we didn’t get trained on that.
Fireman: You did the right thing calling us in.

More: Garda Reserve Prommotional Video.

Found via The (awesome) Chancer.

Aside: Check out the incredibly bad garda.ie, possibly the worst web site on the entire internet, and an embarrassment to the Gardai.

Do they get marks for tying their shoelaces, or does someone do that for them? This is from Chris Morris, surely?

Can’t believe they allow pass by compensation.
