The Reva arrives in Ireland

Irish company Greenaer are the official importers for the Reva, which is made in India. Awesome. I mean just look at it:

It costs a whopping €12,800, which doesn’t bode well if it’s going up against the Verde V-2, which comes in at about €10,769:

I think it’s cute, but the price is too high, when compared to the relative cost of the little Mini that people on moderate incomes bought in the 1960s. The design of the Citroen 2CV Diane in the 1930s through the 1970s was cute and eccentric in its own way, but you wouldn’t want to be tailed by a fast-moving juggernaut when driving one on a narrow road.

the car is worth about €4000, the other €8800 helps pay for merc’s, bmw’s and lousy aftersales.
