Mary McAleese earning her wage

Dear Madam,

I noted with dismay that your fine newspaper reported on its front page that “Mr Cowen was driven to Áras an Uachtaráin for his formal appointment by Mrs McAleese”. While I’m sure Mr Cowen appreciated Mrs McAleese’s generosity, surely it is somewhat unusual.
