The 3G iPhone is available in Ireland on July 11th

I dunno if you all heard the collective explosions of about one million nerds loosing control while sitting at their desks (what’s new there?) earlier, but a new version of the Apple iPhone has been announced, and instead of a painstakingly slow global rollout like the last time, this time it’s launching in 22 countries, including Ireland, on July 11th. I assume it’s still officially with O2, but I also assume that clever kids will jailbreak it.

The iPhone post at engadget.

I’m more interested in Android.

Personally I am engaged in the age old Irish art of the Boycott. I am Boycotting the Apple iPhone on the basis that I am denied a choice of network provider.

hey i totally agree with you, i think that the business ethics behind it are questionable, i however am going to get a ” jailbroken” version because i i denied myself the first version because it only had a two mega pixel camera, in brazil all phones must be sold network provider free, but then the network providers dont provide any deals like free minutes or text a friend for free, were caught either way, viva la revolution !
