Did you know the data protection commissioner was running a competition on youtube? They won’t let us embed their instructions for the competition.

My favourite entry that I’ve seen is John and 21st Century Privacy:

are absolutely excellent, John and 21st Century Privacy wins hands down for me so far.

The entries are coming in, including this one:

A short drama highlighting some of the issues with social networking amongst young people in Ireland today

That’s right kids. Use Bebo enough and you could become giant walking computer screens like the above. And drink Bavaria. Like true superheroes.

By the standard of the videos I’m guessing some film schools have gotten wind of this jazz, which is great.

Anyway, a government agency doing something proactive to get the kids interested in an important issue? I’ll let everyone else come up with reasons why they suck ass. I think this rocks. Closing date is the 30th April, so still time to shoot your masterpiece.
