John Gormley vs. China

Has John finally found something worthy of fighting him?

The Chinese Ambassador walked out of the convention in Dundalk when Mr Gormley condemned human rights abuses in Tibet and called on the Chinese Government to enter into dialogue with the spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.

Legend.

change.ie climate change

The launch ad (watch it here) for the whole campaign compares climate change to the historical challenges such as those faced by Eamonn De Velera and Michael Collins. Super Gormley talks briefly about that in this breakingnews.ie video and story here.

The web site is a fairly decent affair, complete with google mash-up which starts zoomed in on Ireland with some pointers showing impacts of climate change. (Mullingar will have an increase in insects apparently.) It’s not obvious, but zoom out to see the full global pointers to impact spots all over the world.

The whats being done at the national level section puts it fairly bluntly that we’re way off our international targets.
