The Mayo Echo ran a pretty controversial article on the cover of a recent edition:

Subsequently, it appears that commentors on castlebar.ie voiced their opinions, and this drew the ire of the editor of the Mayo Echo, alleging Defamatory comments had been posted. The letter sent by the editor of the Mayo Echo appears to have been posted onto the P45 discussion forums.

Castlebar.ie has now closed down:

Castlebar.ie has been forced to cease operation after more than ten years of publication. Unfortunately, threats of legal action have been received from a commercial publication based in Castlebar and the volunteer moderators simply feel that it is no longer viable to continue with this site as a result of exposing themselves and their families to threats of legal action and harassment.
