The Slate, remembered

The last time I was in The Bernard Shaw (ooh, good blog segue there, but only if you read each post as it’s posted…) there they were running a Slate retrospective. It was surreal to see all those classic pages again. I wanted to remember more, so I went off looking in the internet archive wayback machine for entries for www.theslate.ie. Then I hit jackpot when I did a search for ‘blacks in the jacks’ on google. One for the road, an awe-inspiring blogger, has tirelessly scanned in the old copies of The Slate that he has for all of us to enjoy once again. He doesn’t have them all, not by a long shot, but it’s a great way to reminisce.
