I dunno if you all heard the collective explosions of about one million nerds loosing control while sitting at their desks (what’s new there?) earlier, but a new version of the Apple iPhone has been announced, and instead of a painstakingly slow global rollout like the last time, this time it’s launching in 22 countries, including Ireland, on July 11th. I assume it’s still officially with O2, but I also assume that clever kids will jailbreak it.

The iPhone post at engadget.

I’m more interested in Android.

Directions

Their travels have taken them around the world, but it’s what Dzido Szoltysek and Paul Todd are planning to do next that really set them apart from the average traveler. With nothing but a rental car and a sense of adventure, the two 24 year old men from Toronto plan on roaming the vast countryside of Ireland for ten days . . . the kicker? They’re doing it without maps, GPS systems, or guidebooks. Instead, they’ll be relying solely on the directions given to them by the people they meet along the way.

“Our travel plan goes a little like this,” says Dzido. “1. Begin at airport… 2. Ask for directions… 3. End at airport.”

Wow. That is so crazy. Rest of the press release.
